A press conference will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall chaired by Mayor Joanne Yepsen and featuring what is called the newly created Saratoga Springs Arts Commission. Members were first appointed and the commission formed at the start of 2015. In rapid fashion, the commission was thrown under the bus involved in the early stages of the city’s attempt to adopt an ordinance to regulate street performers.
By May 2015, the commission had grown to include 20 members who are largely employed as arts directors and administrators, ad agency owners, professors, design planners, and others involved in the business of art.
On Tuesday, the group will unveil its new logo and review achievements of the inaugural year.
