Saratoga Hospital scales back expansion, responds to critics

Saratoga Hospital’s proposed expansion will now feature one building at 75,000 square feet, scaled down from previous plans that featured two buildings at a total of 88,500 square feet, according to a letter sent to the City Council on Friday. The elimination of the additional 13,500 square feet will also affect parking spaces requested – down to 240 spaces from the 300 previously sought.

The letter, submitted by attorney Matthew Jones, seeks to respond to concerns about the scope of the project expressed by some, and addresses issues of transparency with a detailed timeline of the proposed rezoning request, dating to last August. The eight page letter may be read in its entirety here.
